Personally, I always use E45 cream, as it’s cheap and it works – I’m lost without it! Some of the roofing materials we use just don’t want to come off; obviously protective gloves are the main barrier we use, but on hot days with no sleeves, we tend to get covered on our lower arms.

Knee protection is often overlooked – I’ve seen some roofers working without knee protection and it makes me cringe. We spend a lot of time on our knees and these DeWalt knee protectors are some of the best I’ve used. They’re cheap and you can pick them up just about anywhere.
